Rajasthan Advocacy Trip

The advocacy trip has been done in Jaipur with the support of All Rajasthan Private Unaided Schools. Mr. Chandan Lal Rose, Member - All Rajasthan Private Unaided Schools and Mr. Amit Chandra, Director Policy Advisory had a meeting with Mr.Vasudev Devnani, Education Minister of Rajasthan.

There was a brief introduction about NISA and Centre for Civil Society and as policy think tank contribution to the education sector in India. The discussion was on the process of amendments on education policy and RTE amendment in Rajasthan state. Submitted copy of RTE 2.0 He appreciated some of the suggestions and assured to include them in state amendment. We presented Boondein coffeetable book and The beautiful tree.

Had a Meeting with Mr. Kunjlal Meena, Secretary Education following up our previous meeting. The proposal for conducting a research on Impact assessment on Implementation of section 12 (1) (C ) has already shared.  He has agreed to offer all the help to conduct the study with access to schools, etc. He informed to District education officer about this research and asked him to coordinate with us. There was a discussion on state consultation and he agreed to invite us at the state level consultation on NEP scheduled in September.

Had a meeting with Mr. Radha Mohan, District Education Officer Jaipur. He agreed to give list of schools and official letter requesting schools to allow CCS to access information from schools and offer cooperation in conducting the study on the implementation status of RTE section 12 (1) (C) in Jaipur.
