NISA held its first national level meeting with over 50 delegates representing 14 member states and the NISA Committee. The two-day meeting, held at New Delhi YMCA between 19-20 April 2014, gave the participants an opportunity to share and discuss NISA's progress in their respective regions, and also work towards a common NISA Mandate. Other key highlights of the meetings were:
- Boondein, the NISA Coffee Table Book was released. The book shines a spotlight on the Budget Private School (BPS) space in India, and highlights inspirational stories from the ground
- NISA common mandate was discussed and finalised
- Prof James Tooley spoke passionately about BPS and also joined NISA as Chief Mentor
- Shivarame Gowda, President, KAPJAC, stressed the importance of a unified front to protect BPS in India
