First National Level Meeting 2014

NISA held its first national level meeting with over 50 delegates representing 14 member states and the NISA Committee. The two-day meeting, held at New Delhi YMCA between 19-20 April 2014, gave the participants an opportunity to share and discuss NISA's progress in their respective regions, and also work towards a common NISA Mandate. Other key highlights of the meetings were:

  1. Boondein, the NISA Coffee Table Book was released. The book shines a spotlight on the Budget Private School (BPS) space in India, and highlights inspirational stories from the ground
  2. NISA common mandate was discussed and finalised
  3. Prof James Tooley spoke passionately about BPS and also joined NISA as Chief Mentor
  4. Shivarame Gowda, President, KAPJAC, stressed the importance of a unified front to protect BPS in India
